A New Orleans inspired restaurant located in the heart of Buffalo's University District. Named after the voodoo god of thunder and lighting, Shango is proud to offer Western New York's most authentic Cajun/Creole dining experience.

After ten years of business as the Coffee Bean Cafe, Chef/Owner Jim Guarino closed the doors in January 2005 to re-model and re-open as Shango Bistro and Wine Bar. Along with our award winning menu, we offer a Wine Spectator awarded wine list with over 120 bottles to compliment your dinner selection.

Shango features over 15 selections by the glass and plenty of great food. We provide attentive and outstanding service to all of our customers along with a warm inviting atmosphere that will make your experience at Shango feel like a night in the French quarter.
